# Lead

A deal in flight — one opportunity moving through a pipeline toward won or lost.

## Overview

A Lead is a piece of business you're working — a trial that might convert, an inbound enquiry, a renewal you're chasing. It sits on a Pipeline at one Stage, carries an estimated value, expected close date, and an owner. Its status — Open, Won, or Lost — is driven by the kind of stage it's in, not set by hand: drag a lead into a Won-kind stage and it's Won. A Lead can point at an existing organization or spin up a brand-new Company in the same step. Only a Won lead can be converted, and converting it flips its organization to a Client (optionally linking the subscription that closed the deal). Leads the Revvly Assistant raises are flagged as AI-assisted and keep the rationale for why they were created.
