Grandfathered pricing
Grandfathered pricing keeps existing customers on an older price or plan after the list price changes. It protects relationships and avoids a churn spike, but it leaves revenue below current list and complicates the catalogue because several price versions stay live at once.
How to read it
Record which subscriptions are grandfathered and set an explicit sunset policy. Without one, the legacy price base quietly grows and understates the revenue the business could be earning.
